Bible Discovery Time
The purpose of this weekly preschool Bible Discovery Time is to build a strong foundation in Jesus Christ through interactive Bible storytelling, age-appropriate learning centers, crafts, music and lots of love. Our youngest children find a safe, clean environment where they can sing and play. Classes for children from birth to Kindergarten are provided weekly during all worship and Bible Fellowship hours.
Lead Teachers: Volunteers serve every other month; prepare and teach weekly lessons; assign activities to Teaching Assistants.
Teaching Assistants: Volunteers serve every other month; or every 4-6 weeks. They assist in the classroom as assigned by the lead teacher.
Greeters: Volunteers have the opportunity to provide a welcoming atmosphere for preschoolers and their parents; assist in checking in preschoolers; help register and orient first time visitors; pick up classroom roll sheets and record attendance to provide an accurate head count for each classroom.
Session Directors: Volunteers provide supervision and security for one Bible Study session; assign classroom volunteers as needed; make periodic security checks throughout the session; provide classroom support as needed; oversee session Greeters; make sure student/teacher ratio is adequate.
Ending Session Clean up: Wash toys, sippy cups, empty trash, and vacuum classrooms after last Sunday session.
Curriculum Preparation: Volunteers serve once a quarter separating and preparing curriculum materials for classroom teachers.
Summer Activity
Vacation Bible School for ages 4 years - completed Kindergarten. Volunteers have the opportunity to provide teaching and leadership for preschoolers to have a concentrated time of building a spiritual foundation of faith in their lives.
