If you’re a middle school or high school student, or even if you’re a parent, you’ll find everything you could ever want to know (and probably more) about the GGBC student ministry.
Our Purpose:
GGBC Student Ministry exists to impact the lives of students in the greater Gresham community with the message of Christ in such a way that they experience Life-change and become Life-changers.
A FEW TIPS TO CONNECT WITH THE STUDENT MINISTRY
Tip #1
Make the local church the epicenter of your family. The time your student spends at church will have either eternal consequences or benefits. Making the church a priority will better prepare your student for the challenges of college and adult life. The decision about whether your student is going to attend our student ministry is not theirs to make – it is yours. God has appointed you as the leader of the family. If you give your student a choice about attending our programs, it is too easy for them to say no. When your student gets older, they will thank you for making student ministry a priority in the family.
Tip #2
Encourage your student to attend weekly activities. Encounters and Mania (7th-12th grade) is available to help partner with you in growing your student relationally, emotionally and spiritually. Encourage your students to attend our student program each week. We have an incredible We meet every Tuesday for high school and Wednesday night for junior high from 6:30-8:30pm.
Tip #3
Connect your student to healthy relationships. If your student is building relationships with students who you feel are unacceptable, guide your student to our
programs. We have several of spiritually fit students who would make great friends for your student. Friendships and dating relationships are two of the greatest challenges for parents during the teenage years. By having your student involved in our ministry, we can help keep your student connected to the right people.
